ARLO is an affectionate bundle of excited energy yet is wholly submissive to the foster carer’s cat. He is an absolute sweetie and is adored by his foster carers (I believe the term they used was ‘big ol’ cuddle bunny’), their children, and even the neighbours. ARLO is now ready to love his own family fiercely and forever.
ARLO is an energetic boy who loves his walks or runs on the beach. He is also very fond of car rides (I’m going on an adventure!). and never tires of playing fetch. ARLO will need a busy environment that can provide lots of love and stimulation, as he is a smart cookie with a lot of energy. He is responsive to commands; he can sit and shake hands and walks very well on a lead. However, further training couldn’t hurt and would help keep him stimulated. He can still jump out of excitement.
ARLO is a great guard dog for a large yard. He will require secure fencing, as he has springs on his feet. His current fence height is 1.8m. In saying that, he hasn’t shown any interest in being far from his favourite humans.
ARLO is good with other dogs, mostly those around his own age. He also gets along with cats (and is well aware that cats are in charge!) but is untested with poultry. He loves his food and is an outside dog but was an inside dog as a puppy.
ARLO’s adoption fee is $330 AND includes desexing, microchipping, vaccinations, and flea and worm treatments. As CAA is located in Central Queensland, we will prioritise local applications.
