Barney is going to be the most wonderful companion for the right person. He’s just 2 years old and truly wants a human of his own. His loyalty shines through straight away, once he bonds with you, he sticks close and follows you around like a little shadow.
He’s a very affectionate boy who loves giving kisses. If you sit near him, he’ll happily lean in, rest his chest in your lap, and gaze up at you with pure adoration. He would absolutely love a home where he’s welcome inside for cuddles and snuggles.
Barney’s training is coming along nicely. He politely sits for his breakfast and dinner, and he’s learning to walk on a lead. He is strong for his size and can pull when he gets excited by all the new sights and smells, but he’s making great progress.
He gets along well with other friendly dogs. If another dog shows aggression, he will bark and growl, so a home without aggressive or reactive neighbouring dogs would be best. He’s currently in foster care with both a male and female dog, medium to large in size, and he loves playing with them. A canine friend would suit him well.
Barney adores kids, though a home with children aged 5 and over would be ideal, as he can still jump up and zoom around the yard at full speed, although this is improving all the time.
He’s an incredibly loving boy who has been waiting far too long for his forever home. Barney is ready to give his whole heart to someone, could that be you?
