Hi, I’m Olive, and I’m the kind of girl who loves being close to her people.
I spend my days outside enjoying the fresh air and watching the world go by. When night comes, I’m flexible and can sleep either outside or inside, depending on the weather. I’m also comfortable being home alone for a couple of hours and handle that just fine.
 
I get along very well with other dogs and enjoy a good play when it’s on offer. I’m respectful of boundaries and read other dogs well, especially older ones who prefer their space. That said, I’m also perfectly content being an only dog.
 
I haven’t had experience meeting cats, but birds are very tempting to chase, so a home without ducks or chickens would be best for me.
 
I’m learning to sit and making steady progress. I’m very food motivated, which makes training enjoyable, and I respond beautifully to praise. A kind word and a gentle pat really mean a lot to me.
 
I’m polite with my toileting and will happily go out on the grass. On lead, I’m still learning and sometimes like to act as though I’m walking myself, but I improve each time and there are no behavioural concerns when I’m out and about.
 
I love soft squeaky toys and ropes, especially when there’s a game of chase or tug involved. Water isn’t my favourite and I tend to run the other way, though I will tolerate bath time.
 
I’m great with kids and polite by nature. I’ll still need gentle reminders not to jump when I get excited, but I have a sweet temperament and I’m eager to learn.
 
I’m a soft-hearted, playful girl who wants to walk beside you through life. Whether as your only dog or as part of your family, I’ll be loyal, loving, and happiest when I’m close by.
