Meet TEX – an energetic and loving boy who is looking for his furever home.
TEX is a happy dog who absolutely loves people. He is good with kids and will fit right in with a family who is as active as he is.
Although TEX does love a good cuddle on the couch, he is happiest when he is allowed to run off leash down the beach chasing the ball and meeting new friends (humans only as he does get nervous when other dogs approach him).
TEX is energetic and needs lots of exercise. He would be happiest with a couple or family who has plenty of space for him to run (a farm or large yard would be ideal). He is very intelligent and would thrive in agility training or with a job that keeps his mind busy. Give him a purpose, and he’ll give you his love and loyalty.
TEX is better suited as an only dog as he often finds other dogs overwhelming. He may suit a calm, easy going dog who respects his space and with slow intros. He has previously lived with an older Collie. He is used to living as an inside dog and is house trained.

Assisted rehoming is an opportunity for CAA to assist owners needing to rehome their pet in the absence of an available foster home.
Please be aware that as this is an assisted rehoming, and the dog is not currently in the care of CAA. Owners may rehome their pet privately whilst CAA advertises so we cannot guarantee availability.
Upon successful adoption through CAA, we will ensure the dog is:
💙 Vaccinated
💛 Flea/worming treatment
💙 Microchipped
💛 Heartworm Tested
💙 Desexed
CAA cannot accept financial responsibility for any health issues that may arise once adopted.
The adoption fee for TEX is $350 and includes desexing, microchipping, vaccinations, flea and worm treatments. Current pets should be desexed and vaccinated.
